SAFE Fundraising FAQ
- What is the differenence between SAFE Fundraising and Roll Up Vehicles? Each SAFE you sign adds complexity to your cap table. A Roll Up Vehicle consolidates multiple investors into one entity, and that entity signs only one SAFE, making it easier to manage your investors and your cap table. We recommend starting an RUV if you intend to raise from 5 or more investors. You can easily add an RUV to your SAFE round in the app.
- What is the differenence between SAFE.new and creating an account?SAFE.new allows you to sign one or two SAFEs in seconds, without creating an account. Creating an account gives you the ability to manage your round more comprehensively and securely.
- What stablecoins does Rollups supports for SAFEs and RUVs?Right now, we support USDC on Ethereum Mainnet. We will be adding more stablecoins and networks in the future. Contact us to learn more or suggest new functionaliy.
- How do I choose the right SAFE terms for my company?Create an account to see AngelList's market data. It will give you a real-time sense for round sizes and terms, by stage and industry.
- What are the different types of SAFEs available? There are 8 different types of SAFEs that offer a combination of terms: valuation caps, discounts, MFN, and pro rata rights.
- Can I use my custom SAFE from my law firm?Yes, you can use your custom SAFE from your law firm. Creat an account and then configure your custom SAFE template using our template builder.
- Does this tool handle accreditation checks?During the signing process, investors will attest to their accreditation status and the fundraising automation software will capture that information. The SAFE fundraising software is not intended for use with general solicitation, which requires enhanced verification . Please contact us first if you intend to generally solicit investors as we may be able to help you with your specific needs.
- What does using SAFE Fundraising cost?It is free for both you and your investors. Optionally, you can choose to launch a Roll Up Vehicle to avoid signing too many SAFEs, and in that case, RUV pricing applies when you close the RUV.
